Backstreet’s Packed, Alright!
• The city of New York is still recovering from the onslaught of over 5,000 fans that descended upon Central Park’s normally sedate Rumsey Playfield early last Friday morning to see the Backstreet Boys perform on ABC’s Good Morning America, drawing what we are told is the show’s biggest concert crowd to date. Park authorities finally had to stop people from trying to enter the already overcrowded venue, leaving several thousand to watch the show from outside the event area.
The guys performed their chart-topping new RCA single, “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” along with several of their biggest hits, including “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” “I Want It That Way,” “As Long As You Love Me” and “Larger Than Life.”
BSB also used the opportunity to announce the final dates of their critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency, Larger Than Life, which will come to an end in February 2019. Tickets are now on sale. Since the residency’s premiere in 2017, Larger Than Life has become one of the fastest-selling shows in Las Vegas history.
