Paul & Al Locked In For Big 3-0
• Those two delicious cakes from Eagle Supermarket sitting in the break room of the iHeartMedia broadcast complex in Providence signify a very special occasion indeed — Paul Fuller and Al Matthews, the longtime hosts of the cleverly named Paul and Al morning show on heritage Rocker WHJY/Providence just signed a sweet three-year contract extension, specially designed to keep them on the air and kicking ass through their 30-year anniversary at HJY! While you ponder that magnificent milestone, please enjoy these exclusive “after-and-before” photos of Paul (right) and Al (left).
With one eye on those aforementioned cakes, WHJY PD Doug Palmieri remarked of Paul and Al, “It’s a great day for HJY. I’ve known them since 1993 and to see them continue to love what they do and do it this well is truly inspirational. We’re proud to bring three more years of live and local mornings to Southern New England.”
