DVR Alert: Elton & Marty
• Alessia Cara, Miley Cyrus, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Miranda Lambert, John Legend, Little Big Town, Chris Martin, Shawn Mendes, Maren Morris, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and SZA will celebrate the illustrious career of Sir Elton John on the tribute special Elton John: I’m Still Standing — A Grammy® Salute, to be broadcast Tuesday, April 10 from 9-11pm ET/PT on CBS.
The live concert event was taped on January 30 at The Theater At Madison Square Garden in New York, two nights after The Grammy Awards and showcases musicians from multiple genres performing classic songs from Elton’s legendary catalog with longtime co-writer Bernie Taupin. Elton John: I’m Still Standing — A Grammy® Salute will also features special appearances by Jon Batiste, Neil Patrick Harris, Christopher Jackson, Anna Kendrick, Gayle King, Lucy Liu, Valerie Simpson and Hailee Steinfeld.
• Marty Riemer, co-host of the Marty & Jodi morning show on iHeartMedia Classic Hits KJR-FM (95.7 The Jet)/Seattle was featured in the most recent episode of HGTV’s House Hunters International.
You may not be aware, but Riemer (right) broadcasts his half of the show remotely from Germany, and this latest episode, “Finding Balance In Berlin” discusses the Riemer family’s decision to move to Berlin, as well as his experience co-hosting a cohesive morning program with his co-host Jodi Brothers (left) while broadcasting from half a world away, and how his family met their unique balance of needs, including a central city location, reliable Internet connection, and proximity to their children’s school.
The episode is posted online, and, like everything else on HGTV, will most likely be repeated endlessly.
