Dayton Kane Knows Wisconsin

• Noted Wisconsin programming pro Dayton Kane has been named as the new Operations Manager and Program Director of Cumulus Country WPKR (NASH FM 99.5) and Alternative WWWX (96.9 The Fox)/Appleton/Oshkosh, WI. Kane earns the transfer from nearby Green Bay, WI, where he has programmed Classic Rock/Classic Hits sister combo WKRU (106.7 The Big Dog) and WOGB since November 2016.

John Rowe, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Media Appleton/Oshkosh, said, “Dayton has demonstrated strong programming leadership qualities and produced outstanding results within Cumulus Wisconsin. We’re excited to expand his role and take advantage of his success and experience.”

Kane previously programmed E.W. Scripps’ Country WKTI (94-5 KTI Country)/Milwaukee until October 2016. Before that he was with Woodward Communications in Green Bay-Appleton-Oshkosh as PD/morning personality at Rhythmic WKSZ (95.9 Kiss FM) and PD of Adult Hits WKZG/WKZY (KZ Radio 92.9 & 104.3). Commenting on his newest Wisconsin radio adventure, Kane said, “I’m excited to be leading the charge at such heritage stations!
