Addams Has Landed On The Eagle
• Veteran programmer/personality Jason Addams has been named as the new Brand Manager for Max Media Country WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle)/Norfolk. Addams (left) arrives from Nashville, where he spent the past five years on the lovely tree-lined Cumulus Media/Westwood One NASH Campus as Program Director/Operations Coordinator, and since 2016, Addams has also been doing afternoons on Classic Country WSM-FM (95.5 NASH Icon)/Nashville and the brand’s 46 network affiliates.
“I’m so excited to welcome Jason Addams to our Eagle family in Virginia Beach,” said Rusty James, VP of Programming for Max Media Hampton Roads. “Jason will bring great passion and fresh ideas to 97.3 The Eagle.”
Commenting on his new Eagle gig, Addams remarked, “Being part of Mike McVay‘s vision for the Nash Campus was an honor, and I’ll always be thankful for my experience there. Also, the benefit of spending the last three years as a Charlie Cook lieutenant was immeasurable. I can’t wait to get started at New Country 97.3 The Eagle in Virginia Beach. I’m honored to work with Rusty James, VP/GM Keith Barton and the entire Max Media team.”
Addams’ previous programming stops include WHZZ Lansing, MI and WSTO/Evansville, IN. He was also APD at KQAR/Little Rock, AR, did nights at WZPL/Indianapolis and mornings on KQBT/Austin. Addams succeeds Mark McKay, who recently exited.
