Albany’s Own Terry O’Donnell Rejoins Townsquare
• Townsquare Media in Albany, NY has acquired the services of longtime Capital Region radio programming pro Terry O’Donnell, who assumes the dual role of cluster Promotions Director and midday personality on Classic Rock simulcast WQBK/WQSH (Q105.7 & 103.5).
O’Donnell makes the switch after a six-year run across the street at iHeartMedia, most recently as PD of WKKF (Kiss 102.3) and Wild Country 99.9 (WRVE-HD2). The move marks a return to the Townsquare building for O’Donnell, who formerly programmed WQSH during its Top 40 incarnation as 105.7 Crush FM.
“We were presented with the opportunity to add Terry O’Donnell to our team and we didn’t hesitate,” said WQBK Brand Manager Mike Karolyi. “Terry brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and we are fortunate to have him on-air at Q105.7 & 103.5.” O’Donnell exclaimed, “I’m so energized by the team here at Townsquare Media. Their combined digital, broadcast, and live event resources are absolutely cutting edge!”
Townsquare Albany Director of Content Matty Jeff added, “We are thrilled to have Terry joining our local team here in Albany. Getting to add an A+ local content creator who is already well known locally is a rare opportunity. Plus, Terry’s promotions acumen and creativity will immensely benefit all of our Albany brands.” Those Townsquare Albany brands also include Country WGNA, ESPN affiliate WTMM (104.5 The Team), Urban Hot 99.1 (WQBK-HD2), and Soft AC WPBZ (103.9 The Breeze).
