ALT Expands, Holtz, Duncan Upped
• Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. has acquired former Regional Mexican 102.3 WGBJ, licensed to Auburn, IN, from Three Amigos Broadcasting and has now extended the broadcast footprint of its Ft. Wayne Alternative ALT 99-5 (WAJI-HD-2) by launching a simulcast on 102.3. “This expands the reach of Fort Wayne’s only Alternative station beyond Allen County, into the surrounding counties of northeast Indiana,” said Lee Tobin, VP/GM of Sarkes Tarzian Fort Wayne.
“This means that artists like Imagine Dragons, Weezer,Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco, Mumford & Sons and more can now be heard on Fort Wayne radio even better than before,” said Laura Duncan (right), PD of Triple A sibling WTTS/Indianapolis, who has been awarded bonus PD stripes for the new ALT 99.5 & 102.3.
And there’s more — in addition to ALT’s sweet upgrade and Ms. Duncan’s new PD responsibilities, Brad Holtz (left) is now formally moving up from Station Manager of WTTS into his previously announced new role as VP/GM of WTTS and WGCL/Bloomington, IN.
