Atlanta’s Game Wakes Up Differently
• Audacy is launching a new morning show on WZGC (92.9 The Game)/Atlanta, hosted by Tiffany Blackmon, Mike Johnson and Beau Morgan. The Morning Shift on 92.9 The Game will roll weekdays from 6-9am ET beginning later this month.
Blackmon (left) is currently a sideline reporter for ESPN’s coverage of college football and the XFL. Prior to joining ESPN, Blackmon was a correspondent for NFL Network, and also worked in sports television in Houston, Oklahoma City, Waco, TX and Lake Charles, LA.
Johnson (center) is a five-year veteran of the NFL, all with the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2014, Johnson has worked in television and radio in Birmingham and Atlanta. Johnson will also be a part of pre-and postgame shows on the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network. Morgan (right) is a 15-year veteran of sports radio in Atlanta, most recently as the Executive Producer of Dukes and Bell and the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network on 92.9 The Game.
“Tiffany, Mike and Beau are going to offer a unique combination of perspectives on sports, culture, current events and day-to-day life that our listeners will find to be informative, entertaining and funny,” said Mike Conti, Brand Manager of 92.9 The Game. “They’ve quickly developed a chemistry that I think will lead to a fast-paced, fun, high-energy show each morning.”
John Fricke, who currently hosts mornings on 92.9 The Game, will continue in a new role, details TBA. The Game also announced a new early-morning show, The Hometown Take, weekdays from 5-6am ET, anchored by Dylan Mathews, producer of The Morning Shift on 92.9 The Game.
