Audacy Launches The Fan Upstate
• Audacy Sports-Talk simulcast WORD-AM & WYRD-AM/Greenville-Spartanburg, SC has rebranded from ESPN Upstate to The Fan Upstate, dropping its ESPN affiliation and becoming the new home of CBS Sports Radio and Audacy’s BetQL programming.
“After years of constantly changing, syndicated ESPN content, we have made the exciting move to bring new and relevant sports talk content to our listeners in the Upstate,” said Steve Sinicropi, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Greenville-Spartanburg. “The Fan Upstate will aim to provide the best original sports talk and sports betting content that our fans crave.”
The Fan will continue to deliver live, local content including The Rob Brown Show and Offsides with Marc Ryan and remain the play-by-play home for Furman University Paladins football and basketball as well as Byrnes High School football.
Here is The Fan’s new weekday schedule — 6-9am: The DA Show with Damon Amendolara; 9am-noon: The Rob Brown Show; Noon-3pm: The Jim Rome Show; 3-7pm: Offsides with Marc Ryan; 7-11pm: BetMGM Tonight.
The Fan Upstate is multicast on WORD-AM/WYRD-AM, WFBC-HD2, 97.7 in Greenville and 97.1 in Spartanburg.
