Barry Allen’s Future Is Sunny

• iHeartMedia Bakersfield has tapped Barry Allen as PD of AC KBFP (Sunny 105-3), effective January 22. He will report to Steve Weed, Area SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Central California Region, who commented, “We’re excited to have Barry joining our iHeartMedia Bakersfield family. When we launched Sunny 105.3 last year, we filled a major void for Bakersfield’s Sunny 105.3 brand.”

Allen (not to be confused with the secret identity of The Flash), most recently programmed Results Radio Top 40 KCEZ (Power 102)/Chico, CA. His previous on-air stops include KZRV & KLZZ/St. Cloud, MN and KRWC-AM/Buffalo, MN, plus he was PD and Interactive Manager for BOLD Radio. Allen began his radio career at WPKR/Green Bay-Oshkosh, WI. “I’m thrilled to be joining the ranks of iHeartMedia,” Allen said. “The New Sunny 105.3 is a great station and I’m thankful for the opportunity to come on board and help accelerate the station’s growth.”
