Bill Fox Wakes Up At WSIG/Harrisonburg

• Saga Classic Country 96.9 WSIG/Harrisonburg, VA has inked veteran programmer and morning personality Bill Fox as its new morning host. He succeeds Quinn Alexander, who recently exited.

In making the announcement, WSIG Brand Manager Tom Morgan said, “Talk about lightning in a bottle! Bill brings an incredible amount of experience and energy to an already amazing team at Harrisonburg Media Group. His incredible work ethic and desire to get to know the SIG family of local listeners will be something to talk about for years to come. Welcome to the Saga Family, Bill!”

Fox had spent the past three years Midwest Communications, starting in June 2021 as Brand Manager/afternoon talent at Country WDEZ/Wausau, WI, leading the station to three consecutive top rated books before transferring to Peoria, IL to lead Country sister WXCL (104.9 The Wolf). In January of this year, Fox doubled his programming portfolio with the addition of Brand Manager stripes at AC sister WSWT (Mix 106.9). He left the company at the end of August.

Fox previously did mornings on Press Communications’ Classic Rock WWZY (107.1 The Boss)/Monmouth-Ocean, NJ, Townsquare Country WOKQ/Portsmouth, NH, Pamal AC WYJB (B95.5)/Albany, NY and Binnie Media’s WFNK (107.5 Frank FM)/Portland ME. Fox has also worked at KXOA/Sacramento, KWYE (Y101)/Fresno, KLLY/Bakersfield and WBHT/Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Fox remarked, “Over the years, I’ve been blessed to work at some heritage call letters. But I’ve never been more excited to join a legendary radio station like WSIG.” He added, “This station IS the Shenandoah Valley, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. Thanks to Kim Mitchell, Brandy Lindsey, Tom Morgan, and the amazing team at Saga Communications in Harrisonburg for making me feel like a part of the family on day one.” Share your good wishes with Fox at bfoxrox@gmail.com.
