Bland Upped To Audacy RVP of Country
• Audacy has promoted Drew Bland to Regional Vice President of Country. In this expanded role, Bland will add regional oversight of WPAW (93.1 The Wolf)/Greensboro, replacing Clay Walker, who was just elevated to Vice President of Content Operations for the company. Bland will continue to have regional oversight as Brand Manager of KKWF (100.7 The Wolf)/Seattle and KMLE (Country @ 107.9)/Phoenix.
“Drew has continued to demonstrate exceptional ability to program and lead country brands in competitive markets and is a leading strategic and creative thinker in our industry with a history of winning brands,” said Tim Roberts, Audacy Country Format Vice President. “We look forward to having him step into this new role to continue sound programming for these iconic brands.”
Bland’s 20-year career includes earlier stints with KMLE/Phoenix, KKWF/Seattle and CMG’s WWKA (K92.3)/Orlando. Bland rejoined Audacy in 2021 as Brand Manager of KMLE/Phoenix, following a stint as VP of Promotion Monument Records, and last year added KKWF/Seattle to his oversight for a second time.
“I’m thrilled Drew is joining us in Greensboro,” said Lisa Powell, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Greensboro. “He has a proven track record and is a formidable competitor in the audio landscape. Drew will take 93.1 The Wolf to new heights, building on the strong foundation and success that Clay Walker delivered for our fans and client partners.” Walker remarked, “I’m excited to elevate to this position and be able to work even closer with the dynamic brands, personalities and programmers that make Audacy Country truly one of a kind.”
