Bloom Named OM Of Entercom Minneapolis
• Andy Bloom is headed home to the Twin Cities as the newly named Operations Manager for Entercom Minneapolis with oversight of News-Talk 830 WCCO-AM, Country KMNB (BUZ’N @ 102.9) and Adult Hits KZJK (104.1 Jack FM). Bloom is a veteran programmer and consultant who most recently served as Operations Manager for CBS Radio News-Talk WPHT-AM and Sports-Talk WIP-FM/Philadelphia from 2007 to 2016. Earlier in his career Bloom programmed the late, great WYSP/Philadelphia and was VP of Programming for Greater Media, along with previous Twin Cities’ stops.
“Andy has a successful track record programming radio stations and we are looking forward to having him join our Twin Cities team,” said Shannon Knoepke, SVP/Market Manager, Entercom Minneapolis. “He has a clear understanding of our operational vision and is skilled at implementing winning business strategies.”
Bloom commented, “Paul Bunyan, ‘Purple People Eaters,’ Prince, the ’87 & ’91 Twins and WCCO Radio — these are the Minnesota legends I grew up with. I’m excited to go home to the Twin Cities and honored by the opportunity Shannon Knoepke, Chris Oliviero and David Field have given me to lead WCCO-AM, BUZ’N-FM and Jack FM.” Bloom succeeds previous OM Lauren MacLeash, who exited in February.
