Bo Knows The Way To Springfield
• Bo Jaxon has been named Operations Manager of SummitMedia’s four-station radio group in Springfield, MO. He will be the day-to-day PD and morning co-host of legendary Country KTTS and OM of the cluster, which also includes Top 40 KSPW (Power 96.5), FM News/Talk 104.1 KSGF and Adult Hits KRVI (106.7 The River). On the programming side, Jaxon succeeds Tom Oakes, who was named interim OM/PD last summer following the death of Mark Grantin. Jaxon will also co-host the KTTS morning show, succeeding former APD/MD Cash Williams, who exited last week.
Jaxon is a New Jersey native who comes to Springfield by way of Denver, where he most recently programmed Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) Country KWOF (92.5 The Wolf) until September 2018, when the station flipped to Sports-Talk as Altitude 92.5. Jaxon has been in the Mile High City since November 2012, where he spent the first five years as PD/afternoons on KIMN (Mix 100.3). He added Wolf PD duties in January 2017. Jaxon previously spent seven years as PD of Cumulus Hot AC KBBY (B95.1) & Sports-Talk KVEN-AM/Oxnard-Ventura, CA. Prior to that, he spent 14 years with KLUC/Las Vegas and last year was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
Janelle Moffett, Market President of SummitMedia Springfield, stated, “Bo brings a ton of energy and great ideas to Springfield. I’m confident that under Bo’s leadership our stations will be an even greater source of entertainment and information for our community.” Jaxon said, “I’m very happy to be a part of the SummitMedia group with the superstar staff in Springfield. Great ideas are flowing, and I’m ready to serve our Springfield listeners!”
