Boldon Named Brand Manager, Star 94/Atlanta
• It’s official — as first reported in today’s issue of RAMP, Audacy formally welcomes Emily Boldon as Brand Manager of Rhythmic Hot AC WSTR (Star 94)/Atlanta, with oversight of the station’s content strategy, talent, operations and branding.
“Emily brings a wealth of industry knowledge, and we’re delighted to have her join Star 94,” said Rick Caffey, SVP/Market Manager, Audacy Atlanta. “We’re confident that her creativity, results-driven work ethic and leadership will help elevate the brand to a new generation of audiences, while maintaining the legacy and impact the station has in the community.”
Boldon brings over two decades of radio programming experience across a diverse range of formats, including AC, Hot AC, Rock and Classic Hits, most recently from Cox Media Group Atlanta, where she was the Director of Operations for the Atlanta market and Program Director of Classic Hits WSRV (97.1 The River) and AC WSB-FM (B98.5).
Boldon earlier spent two decades with Cumulus Media, programming AC WWLI (Lite Rock 105)/Providence and rising to VP of AC Formats & Stratus Music Scheduling before departing in March 2022.
“I’m very excited to begin this new adventure with Rick Caffey and his team at Audacy in my hometown of Atlanta,” said Boldon. “Star is a fantastic heritage station, and I’m eager to grow it to new levels of success in 2025 and beyond.”
Boldon will succeed Jerry McKenna, who exited in early March during Audacy’s large-scale corporate restructuring campaign.
