Boogie D Named PD of Magic 107.3/KC
• Cumulus Media has named programming pro Jowcol “Boogie D” Dolby as the new PD of Urban AC KMJK (Magic 107.3)/Kansas City. He succeeds Al Payne, who in August was named PD of Howard University’s Urban AC WHUR/Washington.
Boogie is a 25-year radio veteran who most recently served a brief stint as OM/PD of Max Media Rhythmic KFCO (Flo 107.1) and Rhythmic AC KJHM (Jammin’ 101.5)/Denver until April. Before that he was OM of Radio One Urban WGPR (Hot 107.5) and Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss FM)/Detroit. Boogie’s lengthy career with Radio One also includes two stints as OM/PD of WHHL (Hot 104.1) and WFUN/St. Louis, with a two-year stretch as PD of Urban WPHI (100.3 The Beat)/Philadelphia sandwiched in between. His previous programming experience includes Radio One’s WCHH [nowWQNC]/Charlotte and a stretch as MD at WPGC/Washington back in the day.
