Brandon Clay Comes Home To Boston’s Bull

• iHeartMedia Country WBWL (101.7 The Bull)/Boston just announced the acquisition of format vet Brandon Clay to host afternoon drive, starting today.

This is familiar territory for Clay, a native of Leicester, MA and a graduate of Curry College in Milton, MA who previously worked in Promotions at 101.7 The Bull and the other iHeartMedia Boston stations. He most recently did afternoon drive at Saga Country WPOR/Portland, ME and was also the in-game host for the Maine Celtics.

Joey Brooks, PD of 101.7 The Bull, said, “It’s always great when you can hire talent with roots in the area. It’s a homecoming for Brandon and we couldn’t be happier for him. Everyone loves a story about the hometown kid making it big. We’re excited to see how far Brandon will go!”

Brooks then handed off to Dylan Sprague, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Boston, who commented, “Brandon is a perfect fit for The Bull. His fresh and energetic multimedia approach complements the rest of The Bull’s staff. Like our other on-air talent, Brandon lives the lifestyle of The Bull, and listeners will bond with him immediately.”

Clay exclaimed, “I LOVE the music I play. Country music has always been my passion. Having the opportunity to share it with so many people during their daily lives is what at fuels me. I’m thrilled to be a part of the BEST team in Boston! I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with a continuously winning team alongside Joey Brooks, Bobby Bones, Amanda Jo, and Jessica!”
