Robby Bridges Joins Townsquare Portsmouth, NH

• Back in November Robby Bridges resigned as Director of FM Programming for Cumulus Media Detroit and announced his intention to return to his native New England — today he has accomplished that goal — Bridges has been hired by Townsquare Media as Operations Manager for the company’s Portsmouth, NH cluster. He will directly oversee Country duo WOKQ/Portsmouth and WPKQ (103.7 The Peak)/Portland, ME as Brand Manager and co-host afternoons on Classic Hits WSHK/WSAK (102.1 & 105.3 The Shark). Bridges’ arrival will take some of the programming load off of Joe Limardi, who will now focus his time and talent on Townsquare’s Hudson Valley, NY group.

Bridges spent the past 11 years with Cumulus Media and Westwood One, the last two as Director of FM Programming for the company’s Detroit group — Hot AC WDVD, Country WDRQ (NASH FM 93.1) and Classic Country NASH Icon 93.1-HD2. Bridges arrived in Detroit in April 2014 as PD of WDRQ, accepting a major market transfer from the PD post at sister WEBE 108/Bridgeport, CT. Bridges originally joined Cumulus back in 2008 as APD/afternoons on WEBE. He later programmed WFAS-FM/Westchester, NYand was also on the air at WPLJ/New York and the True Oldies Channel before returning to WEBE in 2013.
