Brittany & Kendall Succeed Lori & Julia
• Back in March Hubbard Radio’s KTMY (myTalk 107.1)/Minneapolis announced that popular afternoon drive duo Lori Barghini and Julia Cobbs had decided to hang up their headphones after a successful 22-year run. Almost immediately the station launched an interplanetary search to locate worthy replacements.
Today, VP/Market Manager Dan Seeman, and myTalk 107.1 Brand & Content Manager, Amy Daniels are jointly thrilled to announce that Brittany Arneson and Kendall Mark will anchor the new myTalk 107.1 afternoon drive show, starting July 8.
“I couldn’t be more excited to announce that Brittany and Kendall will host afternoons on myTalk 107.1,” said Daniels. “The myTalk 107.1 audience is already familiar with and loves Brittany. When Kendall came in for the on-air audition we knew within 15 minutes that she was the perfect fit!”
Brittany Arneson (left) is already a known quantity with the myTalk 107.1 audience, having served as a primary fill-in host during the past five years. Prior to that, she worked on the morning show across the street at Cumulus Classic Rock KQRS, and most recently co-hosted the Tom Barnard Podcast with market legend Tom Barnard. Arneson also has a background as a digital media specialist and formerly served as a Combat Medic in the US Army.
Kendall Mark (right) is also an experienced Twin Cities media veteran, spending the past six years as a reporter, anchor and host at KMSP-TV (Fox 9)/Minneapolis-St. Paul. She also co-hosted the nationally syndicated The Jason Show alongside Jason Matheson. Prior to Fox 9, Mark was an in-game host for the Minnesota Wild, a host and reporter for Fox Sports North and a reporter at Canterbury Park.
Seeman commented, “Let me start off by recognizing the incredible achievements of Lori & Julia. They blazed trails for this entire radio station and will always be in the DNA of myTalk 107.1. Replacing Lori & Julia was a big challenge, but I think Amy Daniels found the future with Brittany and Kendall.”
Arneson said, “I am seriously the biggest myTalk fan, I listen constantly. I can’t believe this is the station I get to work at with the people I adore.” Mark exclaimed, “Is this real life?! We have some big shoes to fill — the ‘Drive Time Divas’ are absolute legends. What a privilege to be joining Brittany on this new adventure. We can’t wait to spend our afternoons with all of you, myTalkers!”
Lori & Julia’s final broadcast happens on June 27, and Brittany and Kendall will launch their new show on Monday, July 8.
