Bruns Held Over At Cumulus Memphis

• Cumulus Media has signed Danni Bruns to a new multi-year agreement to remain as Operations Manager of the company’s four-station Memphis group and PD/afternoon co-host on Mainstream Rock WXMX (98.1 The Max). The other brands in the cluster are AC WKIM (98.9 The Bridge), Urban AC WRBO and Country WGKX (Kix 106).

Bruns is a Memphis native who began her radio career as a college intern, and went on to co-host the morning show at WTXT/Tuscaloosa, AL. After returning to Memphis to work at WHBQ (Q107.5), Bruns joined 98.1 The Max in 2007. She was promoted to OM in August 2017 and in addition to her PD duties on The Max she also co-hosts Danni & The Jar with Chris “The Jar” Jarman weekdays from 3-7pm.

Moments after the paperwork was signed, Morgan Bohannon, VP/Market Manager of Cumulus Memphis, said, “I’ll go to battle any day with Danni Bruns on my team.
