Buster Bursting With Excitement
• A few weeks back we reported that Brandon “Buster” Satterfield was leaving his PD position at Radio One Top 40 WNOU (RadioNOW 100.9)/Indianapolis for a mystery gig TBA… well, we now know where he’s headed — sunny Tampa Bay, FL, as the newly named APD of iHeartMedia Top 40 WFLZ (93.3 FLZ).
“We’ve had our eyes on Buster for several years, so I’m excited — we’re lucky to have him join our team in Tampa Bay,” said Tommy Chuck, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Tampa Bay and PD of 93.3 FLZ. “He’s creative, driven and has performed at a high level during all of his previous stops. Now, with all of the tools, resources and talent around him at iHeartMedia, I can’t wait to see how much of a winner he will be!”
Satterfield has been on the job in Indianapolis since November 2015, coming off a short stint as East Coast Promotions Manager for Atlantic Records. Before that he spent three years with Beasley’s former WRDW (Wired 96.5)/Philadelphia, rising to PD. His resume also includes a stint as Asst. MD/late-night jock at the late WXRK (92.3 Now)/New York and nights at iHeartMedia Top 40 WKQI (Channel 95-5)/Detroit.
Commenting on his forthcoming adventure, Satterfield said, “Thank you to everyone at iHeartMedia for giving me the opportunity to jump into the cockpit of the legendary 93.3 FLZ. I’m eager to join the creative team in Tampa Bay! Join me on my journey as I make the transition by following @FMBuster.”
