Buyers Of Beasley Ft. Myers Group Revealed
• We now know the buyers of Beasley’s Fort Myers cluster, which, as we recently reported, was being spun off to two buyers for $9 million each.
According to the FCC filing, Sun Broadcasting plans to purchase Classic Rock WRXK (96 K-Rock)/Bonita Springs, Top 40 WXKB (B103.9)/Cape Coral and Podcast Radio US (WXKB-HD2), and simulcast on 96.5 (W243BM), 101.5 (W268AH), and 105.1 (W286AK).
Sun currently owns Conservative Talk WFSX (92.5 Fox News), WHEL (93.7 Trump Country), Classic Rock WARO (94.5 The Arrow), Rhythmic WFFY (Fly 98.5), and Fox Sports Fort Myers (WHEL-HD2) and 94.1 (W231DC), 103.3 (W277AP), and 105.9 (W290DB).
As for the remaining stations, Fort Myers Broadcasting plans to acquire Classic Tropical WWCN (Playa 99.3), Soft AC WJPT (Sunny 106.3), and Sports-Talk 770 WBCN (ESPN Southwest Florida), which is also streaming on 98.1 (W251AL) and 104.3 (W282BY) for $9 million.
Fort Myers Broadcasting currently owns AC WINK-FM, Hispanic Urban WTLQ (97.7 Latino), Soft AC 101.1 WAVV (Wave 101.1), Spanish Contemporary Maxima 97.3 & 95.7 (WINK-HD2 & W247CR & W239CL), Regional Mexican La Raza 107.9 (WAVV-HD2/W300EF) and CBS affiliate WINK-TV.
