Career 360 For ‘Johnny D’

• Max Media of Hampton Roads is proud to announce the return of a familiar name — John “Johnny D” DeCandido and The Morning Drive with Johnny D is coming home to where it all started — WGH-AM (Fox Sports 1310AM/100.9FM), weekdays from 6-9am, starting Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Johnny D launched his signature morning sports-talk show in the mid-’90s on what was then The Score 1310 AM. He later moved to Las Vegas and joined the Sports Fan Radio Network before becoming a standout personality in Miami on The CBS Sports Radio Network, covering the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, and Miami Hurricanes on WIOD and WQAM.

Fox Sports 1310 Brand Manager Dino Franza stated, “We’re so excited to introduce a new live and local morning show, which will complement the great national shows heard on Fox Sports 1310 AM and 100.9 FM. The Morning Drive with Johnny D will give us the market’s only local morning sports talk radio show. Johnny D was heard on The Score 1310 AM in the ’90s, so it’s somewhat of a homecoming for him. He knows the Hampton Roads market and will be a nice lead-in to The Dan Patrick Show and The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
