Carr Joins KRCC To Host ‘Morning Edition’

• NPR affiliate KRCC/Colorado Springs, operated by Colorado Public Radio (CPR), announced the hire of Kendra Carr as the new local host of Morning Edition.

Carr arrives from northern Michigan, where she hosted All Things Considered for Interlochen Public Radio. She also produced and hosted a limited series, Our Global Neighborhood for the station, and the podcast Stories That Heal.

“I’m really excited for Kendra to join the KRCC team,” said KRCC Managing Editor Andrea Chalfin. “She will be a strong companion for our listeners, bringing you news from NPR, KRCC and CPR every weekday morning.”

NPR’s Morning Edition is the most-listened-to news radio program in the country, airing on KRCC weekdays from 4-9am. Carr will guide listeners in Southern Colorado through the program starting in the 6am hour. “News happens locally, and Colorado is such a beautiful place containing a variety of stories that I look forward to sharing,” Carr said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to raise up Southern Colorado voices.”
