Chad & Dwight Ride Again In Rip City
• iHeartMedia Sports-Talk KPOJ (Rip City Radio 620)/Portland, OR, the radio flagship of yooourrr Portland Trail Blazers has added the talents of market legend Dwight Jaynes, who will join Chad Doing as co-host of the Rip City Drive, weekdays from 3-6pm. This will mark the third time that Jaynes and Doing have worked together.
Jaynes (right), often referred to as “The Godfather,” has spent 25 years as a sports columnist for The Oregon Journaland The Oregonian, covering the Trail Blazers for eight seasons, and has also co-written two books about the team. He was named “Sportswriter of the Year” as well as “Sportscaster of the Year” by the National Sports Media Association and was inducted into the Portland Interscholastic League Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2019. Need more? Jaynes also spent 11 years at NBC Sports Northwest, hosting Talkin’ Ball and Posting Up, receiving two regional Emmy nominations. Prior to that, Jaynes and Doing hosted the Morning Sports Page on Alpha Media’s KXTG (The Game)/Portland.
