Chris Harris Comes Home To Radio One
• Radio One announced the return of company veteran Chris Harris, this time as Program Director of WIZF (101.1 The Wiz)/Cincinnati and WCKX (Power 107.5/106.3)/Columbus, OH.
Harris’ radio career began with Radio One in 2002 as a promotions assistant/web coordinator for WMMJ Majic 102.3/92.7)Washington. By 2010, he had worked his way up to MD/programming assistant for WMMJ and sister WKYS. Harris later went on to work for Carter Broadcasting’s KPRS/Kansas City, Howard University’s WHUR/Washington, WGFT (Star 94.7)/Youngstown, OH and iHeartMedia’s BIN: Black Information Network, where he gained additional experience as an APD and MD.
“It feels great to bring Chris back home to the Radio One family,” said Colby Tyner, SVP of Programming at Radio One. “He has a lot of passion for the business, and we look forward to having him in Cincinnati and Columbus.”
Harris said, “I’m excited to be going back to where it all started for me 20 years ago at Radio One.
