CJ Earns 93Q/Houston Upgrade
• Cox Media Group Country KKBQ (The New 93Q)/Houston announces the pending arrival of industry standout, Caitlin “CJ” Johnson to do afternoon drive, starting Monday, November 11. She succeeds legendary 93Q personality Cactus Jack, who retired in August.
Johnson earns the transfer and market upgrade from CMG Jacksonville, where she is currently MD/afternoon talent on Top 40 sister WAPE. CJ joined CMG Jacksonville as a Sales Assistant in June 2012, and quickly worked her way up into doing nights at WAPE. She was upped to MD/afternoons three years ago.
“I’m so excited to have CJ join the 93Q family,” said Johnny Chiang, Director of Operations for Cox Media Group (CMG) Houston. “Her enthusiasm, energy, and love of life make her the perfect fit for our strong on-air team. I can’t wait to introduce her to our listeners.”
Johnson exclaimed, “I couldn’t be more honored to have the opportunity to join one of the best radio stations in the country, and I can’t wait to become a Houstonian!”
