Complex Doubles Down In Sacto
• Ben “Complex” Romero has been awarded Brand Manager stripes for Audacy Top 40 KUDL (106.5 The End)/Sacramento. He will easily commute to his new gig, as he’s been in the building since April programming Rhythmic sibling 102.5 KSFM.
“In just a few months, ‘Complex’ has demonstrated the proven ability to lead content strategy and talent management for KSFM. We are confident he’ll apply that expertise for The End,” said Stacey Kauffman, RVP, Audacy Sacramento. “His successful tenure thus far has showcased his dedication and creativity in our industry, and we look forward to watching him take this next step in his career.”
Complex joined Audacy Sacramento in April, transitioning from the PD post at Desert Valley Media Group Rhythmic KKFR (Power 98.3 & 96.1)/Phoenix. Born and raised in Southern California, Complex started his professional radio career in 2001 as a mixer at KKFR. He went on to serve as MD/Mix Show Coordinator for KWIE (Wild 96.1)/Riverside, and assisted in the relaunch of 93.5 KDAY/Los Angeles. In 2008 Romero was named APD/MD of Rhythmic KWYD (Wild 101)/Boise, ID, and upped to PD two years later. He rejoined KKFR in August 2012, was upped to APD/MD the following year, and, in May 2019 was elevated to PD.
Commenting on the addition of KUDL responsibilities, Romero said, “I am deeply honored… everyone in Sacramento has quickly become family. After getting to know the brand and the market, I see nothing but great potential and a bright future for The End. I’m excited to continue to grow with the whole team.”
