Cool Breeze Blows Into Norfolk

• After nearly a week of festive stunting as Christmas 105.3 on WNOH/Norfolk, iHeartMedia launched Soft AC 105.3 The Breeze, “Hampton Roads’ Relaxing Favorites,” featuring artists like Adele, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins… you get the idea.

WNOH was the former local affiliate of iHeart’s BIN (Black Information Network), which last week moved from 105.3 over to sister 92.1 WHPT and relaunched as BIN 92.1 FM.

“We’re excited to bring a fresh, relaxing sound with 105.3 The Breeze,” said Denene Moore, iHeartMedia Norfolk Market President. “Whether you’re commuting, working, or just taking a break, The Breeze is your new go-to for relaxing favorites and feel-good moments.”

The Breeze’s on-air lineup is bookended by the syndicated Murphy, Sam & Jodi in mornings and the Premiere-syndicated Delilah from 7-midnight. In between, it’s Amber Peyton from 9am-noon, Kristina from noon-3pm, and Chris Davis from 3-7pm. Bob Murphy, co-host of Murphy, Sam & Jodi, commented, “We can’t wait to bring Norfolk listeners a fun, uplifting way to start their day. Our show is all about connection — sharing real-life stories, relatable humor, and content that makes mornings a little brighter.”

And as you might expect, given the format, as the holidays approach, 105.3 The Breeze will become Hampton Roads’ new official home for Christmas music, flipping to 24/7 holiday favorites at the end of the year.

“This station is designed to help our community exhale, recharge, and enjoy each moment with calming favorites — whether it’s a weekday wind-down or holiday cheer later this year,” said David Miller, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Norfolk.
