Craig Going To The Show
Congrats to Justin Craig, PD of WEPN (ESPN New York 98.7), who was recently elevated into the corporate role as Sr. Director, Programming and Operations for the national ESPN Radio Network. In his fancy new post, Craig will be responsible for all aspects of ESPN Radio programming and production, including oversight of Mike & Mike, The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz, Russillo & Kanell and nighttime and weekend programming. Craig is now based at ESPN’s palatial headquarters in Bristol, CT and reports to David Roberts, VP of ESPN Network Content. “Justin brings to this role a wide range of experience and winning results,” said Roberts. “He clearly understands the value of how the local and national networks can collectively create an even stronger culture of success. Bottom line, Justin Craig is uniquely prepared for this extremely important leadership role. He’s a winner.”
Craig joined ESPN in January 1998 as a part-time overnight board op, before becoming one of the original producers of Mike & Mike in 2000. Craig went on to successfully program WMVP-AM (ESPN Chicago 1000) for four years prior to joining ESPN New York in 2010
Concurrent with Craig’s elevation, APD Ryan Hurley has been promoted to Program Director of ESPN New York, and Jonathan Winthrop is upped to APD. Winthrop will continue to produce The Stephen A. Smith Show. Hurley has been with ESPN New York since 2004 and served as a Producer for The Michael Kay Show for 11 years, first as a lead producer, then as the Executive Producer. In 2015, he was upped to APD. Winthrop also joined ESPN New York in 2004 as a board op and has been a longtime producer of The Stephen A. Smith Show.
