Dankwa To Program WJBQ/Portland

• Townsquare Media of Portland, ME welcomes veteran programmer Kwame Dankwa aboard as Brand Manager and afternoon drive personality on Top 40 WJBQ (Q97.9). His arrival takes some of the programming load off of AJ Dukette, who will now focus 100% of his energy on his dual role as Brand Manager and morning show host on AC WHOM.

Dankwa is inbound from Erie, PA, where he was PD of iHeartMedia Top 40 WRTS (Star 104). In making the announcement, Brian Lang, Townsquare Regional Market President, commented, “We are excited to have Kwame Dankwa join our Townsquare Portland team and lead heritage brand WJBQ.”

Dankwa’s programming resume includes iHeartMedia Top 40 KPWK (Power 93.3)/Seattle and two stints at Pamal Top 40 WZRT (Z97.1)/Rutland, VT — interspersed with a stop as APD/night jock at iHeartMedia Top 40 KWNW (101.9 Radio Now)/Memphis. He also did weekends at CBS Radio (now Entercom) Top 40 WODS (103.3 AMP Radio)/Boston.
