Davis Officially OM of Cumulus Appleton-Oshkosh
• As RAMP first reported on August 12, Brian Davis is now officially in the building at Cumulus Media’s group in Appleton-Oshkosh, WI as the newly named Operations Manager and PD of Country WPKR. He will also have operational oversight of Classic Hits WVBO, Alternative WWWX (96.9 The Fox), News-Talk WOSH-AM and Adult Standards WNAM-AM. He succeeds Dayton Kane, who is moving home to Milwaukee at the end of the month for family reasons.
Davis arrived from Dubuque, IA, where he was Brand Manager for Townsquare Media Classic Rock KXGE (Eagle 102.3) & Classic Hits WDBQ (Q107.5) since Jan. 2017. This new gig marks a return to Cumulus — and to the Appleton market for Davis, who previously spent seven years there as APD/MD with Woodward Radio’s WKSZ & WCHK/Appleton-Green Bay. He has also programmed Cumulus Top 40 WBNQ/Bloomington, ILand Radio Dubuque Country WVRE/Dubuque, IA; and he started his career at the former KXMX/Cedar Rapids, IA in the mid-’90s.
