DC’s Team Now On AM & FM
• Radio One Sports-Talk WTEM (The Team 980)/Washington, DC has seriously boosted its area reach, as a team of engineers plugged the station’s transmission lines into the back of an FM translator tuned to 95.9.
As the press release states, “The move bolsters the reach of Washington, DC’s premiere sports station and demonstrates Radio One’s commitment to its sports programming format.” Jeff Wilson, Senior RVP of Radio One, remarked, “This is big news for DMV sports fans. We’re thrilled to bring the best sports programming to DC’s FM dial.”
Listeners can now hear The Team 980’s powerful personality lineup — featuring Kevin Sheehan, Steve Czaban, Super Bowl champions Doc Walker and Brian Mitchell, Al Galdi and Scott Linn — on 980AM and 95.9FM… at the same time!
The Team 980 is DC’s home for play-by-play of Washington Redskins football, University of Maryland football and basketball and Georgetown University basketball play-by-play.
