Denver Welcomes Back FLO 107.1
• After a year and change as a Top 40 station, the people of Denver have spoken, and Max Media Denver has responded, flipped KFCO (Hot 107.1) back to its Classic Hip Hop roots, and reviving the station’s former longtime handle, FLO 107.1, which is once again playing the biggest records from “Back N’ Tha Day & Today”
And who better to oversee this unique format than the man who is credited with launching the first Classic/Back N’ Tha Day terrestrial simulcast, KDAY & KDEY-FM/Los Angeles — Adrian “A.D.” Scott, the newly named Operations Director of FLO 107.1 and Rhythmic Oldies KJHM (Jammin’ 101.5).
“A.D. is the right executive to lead the very challenging task of keeping FLO true to its ‘back-in-the-day-to-today’ roots,” said Sean Rhoads, President/GM of Max Media Denver. “I feel that FLO will be a great representation of the diverse cultural melting pot of the area it represents, music is a universal language.”
Scott remarked, “It was clear to us that the FLO brand has value, and we want to target a broader audience. This station provides us with a unique opportunity to reach a larger audience, that the Front Range was underserved.” To help cement FLO 107.1’s welcome return, the station is rolling commercial-free until further notice.
