Divine Promotion At Urban One Columbus
• Urban One Columbus, OH is proud to announce the promotion of Divine “The SheJay” Martino to PD of Urban AC WXMG (Magic 95.5) and Urban Gospel WJYD (Joy 107.1). She will continue to anchor her No.1-rated midday show on WXMG.
“Divine has done an outstanding job in Columbus, giving us our best ratings in years on WXMG,” said Urban One SVP of Programming Colby Tyner. “We are enormously proud to promote and celebrate her successes.”
The Charleston, SC-born Martino attended HBCU Allen University in Columbia, SC and was inspired to pursue a radio career after winning a freestyle contest hosted Chris Lova Lova and Poon Daddy on Urban One’s WHTA/Atlanta. She landed her first show on WWWZ (Z93 Jamz)/Charleston, SC in 1996 and went on to work in Albany, GA, Wilmington, NC, and Columbus, GA.
