Done Deal: Nahigian Wins The Game
• Last week, thanks to a conveniently timed Facebook post by Matt Nahigian, we initially reported that he was the new PD of Entercom Sports-Talk KGMZ (95.7 The Game)/San Francisco. Today, thanks to the timely delivery of the official company press release, we can once again report with confidence that Nahigian is the man — he starts Wednesday, November 8.
Nahigian brings over 23 years of radio experience to the Entercom team in San Francisco. He most recently spent over a decade as PD of Beasley Sports-Talk WPEN (97.5 The Fanatic)/Philadelphia, before departing earlier this year. During that time, he helped the station transition from AM 950 to 97.5 FM and obtain the rights to the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers, partnered with ESPN in addition to bringing top-rated talent to the station. He began his career at 1 on 1 Sports based in Chicago.
“Matt has a proven track record of success leading sports radio stations and we are so excited for him to join our great team in San Francisco,” said Susan Larkin, the newly named VP/Market Manager for Entercom San Francisco. “We have no doubt that he’ll lead our team to even greater heights.”
Nahigian remarked, “I want to thank Susan Larkin, Pat Paxton and David Field for the opportunity to join the Entercom family. Their leadership and success with all of their stations across the country is second-to-none. Being able to join the team at 95.7 The Game, which has a terrific lineup and great sports partnerships, is extremely exciting.” Nahigian succeeds Don Kollins, who left in August.
