Doug Podell Signs Off In Style

• Detroit radio was forever changed last week with the retirement of market legend Doug “Doc Of Rock” Podell, who did his final break on iHeartMedia Classic Rock 106.7 WLLZ (Detroit’s Wheels), closing the book on an amazing 50-year radio career.

Given the importance of such a historic radio event, it was only natural that “Radio’s Best Friend,” Michigan’s own Art Vuolo was in the building to capture the highlights of this occasion. The video, posted HERE, contains highlights from Podell’s retirement party given by PD Casey Krukowski and Market President Colleen Grantand includes a heart-felt message to EVP of Programming Tony Travatto.
