Doyle EVP/GM of MTV, VH1, Logo
Amy Doyle has been named Executive Vice President and General Manager of MTV, VH1 and Logo. She will report to Chris McCarthy, President of the three Viacom-owned brands. According to The Hollywood Reporter, in her newly created role, Doyle, who was named EVP of VH1 in 2015 will work with McCarthy on the overall creative management of the group, including oversight of tent-pole events, specials, network and celebrity talent as well as VH1 scripted programming. Doyle will continue to oversee and serve as co-chair of the Save the Music Foundation. The new gig marks a homecoming for Doyle, who spent years as EVP, Music at MTV and VH1, winning an Emmy for reinventing MTV’s Unplugged.
In making the announcement, McCarthy said, “Through her strong creative instincts and talent relationships, Amy has built countless brand-elevating events and initiatives throughout her career, and I’m excited for her to partner with me in this vital leadership role across the group.” Doyle commented, “I’m excited to expand my collaboration with Chris to encompass the MTV brand that was my home for so many years. We are ready to leverage the best and most diverse world-class events, development and talent teams across each of the brands to help us transform MTV for today’s youth culture and continue VH1 and Logo’s growth trajectory.”
