Duane & Abby Beam Back To Memphis
• Legions of listeners in the Greater Memphis area are in for a treat today when the popular on-air duo of Duane Shannon & Abby Summers cracks the mic once again, this time in afternoon drive on Audacy Country WLFP (94.1 The Wolf)//Memphis. The married Duane & Abby famously ruled morning drive for more than a decade on Cumulus rival WGKX (Kix 106) until last April, when Duane was named PD of Saga Country WIXY/Champaign, IL.
Starting today at 3pm, and through the miracle of some technical witchcraft known as “voice-tracking,” Duane & Abby will make their triumphant Memphis return. Duane and Abby joined 94.1 The Wolf’s award-winning Mo & StyckMan morning show last Friday to share their big news with the Mid-South radio audience.
In making the official announcement, Chris Michaels, OM of Audacy Memphis and Brand Manager of The Wolf, said, “Duane & Abby built a huge foundation of a loyal fanbase in the Mid-South after hosting mornings for 11 years in the market, and I am beyond excited to have their familiar talented personalities join The Wolf every afternoon.”
Effective today, The Wolf’s weekday schedule looks like this – 6-10am: Mo & StyckMan; 10am-3pm: Katie & Company; 3-7pm: Duane and Abby; 7-midnight: Rob & Holly.
