• Audacy has promoted Chris Ebbott to Vice of Programming and Operations for its Los Angeles market, effective immediately. In this role, Ebbott will oversee programming and operations strategy for Adult Hits KCBS-FM (93.1 Jack FM), All-News simulcast KNX News 97.1 FM & 1070 AM, Rhythmic AC KTWV (94.7 The Wave) and LGBTQ+ lifestyle station CHANNEL Q. “Chris has proven to be one of the brightest and most innovative brand managers in the country,” said Jeff Federman, Regional President and Market Manager, Audacy Southern California. “Promoting him to this role was a natural step for our cluster and we have full confidence in his ability to help us move our brands forward.”
Ebbott remarked, “Audacy Los Angeles is home to an all-star team of brand managers. To work with them growing and evolving some of the world’s most iconic and successful radio brands is a dream job. Thank you to Jeff Federman, Susan Larkin and Jeff Sottolano for this amazing opportunity.”
Ebbott rejoined the former CBS Radio Los Angeles in June 2014 as Brand Manager of K-Earth, guiding the station to a 2018 Marconi Award for Classic Hits Station of the Year and Legendary Station of the Year in 2019. That same year he was named VP of Classic Hits, and in 2020 was elevated to Vice President of Programming. Ebbott also helped drive digital innovation for the L.A. market, including the launch of LGBTQ+ lifestyle station CHANNEL Q.
From 2010-2014 Ebbott enjoyed a successful run in Toronto as PD of Bell Media Top 40 CKFM (99.9 Virgin Radio). He also guided Adult Hits CHBM (Boom 97.3)/Toronto from 2010 until 2013 when it was spun off to Newcap.
Prior to his four-year Canadian oddyessy, Ebbott spent nearly seven years with CBS Radio Los Angeles, where he was instrumental in KCBS-FM‘s transition from Classic Hits Arrow 93 to Adult Hits as 93.1 Jack FM, and he was also involved in the 2009 launch of Top 40 KAMP (97.1 AMP Radio).
