Elliot Now Running iHeart Country In KY & WV
Elliot succeeds Ashley Wilson, who was named PD of sister WKKT (96.9 The Kat)/Charlotte last October. “We’re excited to have Rachel join our team,” said Kristy Beebe, Area President for iHeart Kentucky, West Virginia and South Carolina. “Rachel’s lifelong passion for Country music, unique multi-format perspective, positive energy and creativity make her a perfect fit to continue the success of our Country brands across Kentucky and West Virginia.”
Elliot earns the transfer and upgrade from iHeartMedia Cincinnati, where she most recently served as Digital Program Director and on-air talent at the legendary WEBN, while also serving as a national talent for the iHeartCustom/Format Center brands with a specific focus on Country and Rock; appearing weekly on 35+ stations across the U.S. Elliot began her journey with iHeartMedia as an intern for WKSC (Kiss 103.5)/Chicago.
In her new position, Elliot now reports to Michael Jordan, Region SVP of Programming, who commented, “Rachel has a successful track record working with big brands that have dynamic personalities and a winning culture. Her creativity, drive and on-air background, coupled with her passion for content creation and engagement, perfectly positions her to lead these top performing Country brands.”
Elliot remarked, “I’ve been with iHeartMedia my entire radio career — from my very first internship — it’s so special for me to continue my career with the company that’s been with me from the beginning. Growing up on a sheep farm in upstate Ohio, Country music has long been my passion. I appreciate the team for allowing me to continue to learn and grow within a company I love, and trusting me with these iconic brands that I’ve admired for so long.”
