Entravision Launches Fuego 103.5/Sacramento

• Earlier this month we reported that Entravision was making some major programming changes within its Sacramento cluster — on Monday, July 8, Country KNTY (101.9 The Wolf) flipped to Regional Mexican as La Tricolor 99.9/101.9.

The company now reports that former Rhythmic KHHM (Hot 103.5)/Sacramento and former Country sibling KCVR (98.9 The Wolf)/Columbia-Modesto, CA are now simulcasting as “Fuego Hot Hits,” a bilingual format described as “a music mix ignited by today’s top trending global Latin Urban music movement mixed with Contemporary Hits.”

This new format will combine hits from mainstream artists like Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Khalid, Post Malone, and Cardi B with hits from such Latin music stars as J Balvin, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, Karol G and Maluma.

“As the Sacramento and Modesto markets continue to grow, we need to respond to the audiences in the marketplace,” said Angelica Balderas, Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions, Entravision. “Fuego Hot Hits will cater to a broad audience with today’s top songs fused with a Latin vibe. This new mainstream format is a unique and representative platform for all advertisers.”
