Every Day Is ‘Taco Tuesday’
Results Radio LLC has hired the deliciously named Johnny Taco as Program Director for AC Sunny 95.5 (KKCY-HD2)/Yuba City, CA, which is about 40 miles north of Sacramento. He will also serve as Production Director for the three-station cluster, which also includes Country KKCY and Classic Hits KUBA. Señor Taco, whose real name is Ross Maola, arrives from Leighton Broadcasting Country KZPK (Wild Country 99)/St. Cloud, MN, where he was afternoon jock and Imaging Director. His other stops include mornings at WVNV/Malone NY and air talent at WYUL/Montreal.
Operations Manager Eric White said, “We are thrilled to bring in Johnny Taco to help grow Sunny 95.5 in Nor Cal. Johnny’s wizardry with imaging and production, enthusiasm for connecting with his audience, along with his creativity for energy driving promotions will help carry Sunny 95.5 to new heights.”
Taco remarked, “I’m very excited to join the Sunny 95.5 and Results Radio team. I look forward to the continued success and growth of the stations throughout California as well as a little sunshine!” Taco starts Monday, April 10 and replaces Chris Carothers, who remains with the company as a multi-market air talent.
