Executive Upgrade Day At Cumulus
Cumulus Media yesterday announced the elevation of three key Atlanta-based SVPs to newly-created EVP posts — Mike McVay, SVP of Content & Programming, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Content & Programming; Dave Milner, SVP of Operations, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Operations and Bob Walker, SVP of Operations has also been upped to Executive Vice President, Operations.
McVay (left) is a 40-plus-year programming vet who operated his own successful consultancy before joining Cumulus as SVP, Corporate/Programming in September 2011. He was upped to his current position two years ago. Milner (center) rejoined Cumulus in December 2014 as SVP, West Coast markets. Before that he served as Market President of iHeartMedia’s cluster in Sacramento. Milner previously held VP of Sales positions at Entercom San Francisco and Clear Channel Portland, OR and he was General Sales Manager of Cumulus Media’s San Francisco’s FMs. Walker (right) joined Cumulus in January 2013 from The Weather Channel, where he was EVP/GM of Network & Content. He notably spent 22 years as President/GM of Gannett’s WXIA-TV and WATL-TV/Atlanta.
In making the big announcement, Mary Berner, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cumulus Media, said, “These promotions recognize the strong performance of these key members of our senior leadership team.
