Farb Away To Dallas
• Al Farb is packing the car for a journey from Houston to Dallas to begin his new job as APD/afternoon personality for Cumulus Country 96.3 KSCS. He succeeds “Trapper John” Morris, who recently joined SiriusXM as PD of Y2Country and Asst. Music Programmer for The Highway Channel.
Far (left), a 10-year radio veteran, relocates from Cox Media Group Houston, where he was Executive Producer and air talent at Country KKBQ (93Q) and Classic Country KTHT. Prior to that, he was across the street with Clear Channel/iHeartMedia as APD and Executive Producer for News-Talk KTRH-AM and Sports-Talk KBME-AM.
Mac Daniels, PD of 96.3 KSCS, said, “After a very extensive search, I’m confident that Al is the right fit for this position. KSCS will benefit greatly from his passion for radio, his knowledge of the format and his skill set. I’m very excited to have him as part of this team.” Farb commented, “I’m so excited for the opportunity to join Mac and the amazing team at KSCS and Cumulus Dallas-Ft. Worth. I can’t wait to make the short drive up I-45 and get to work.”
