Fleming Back On Island Time
• Joshua Fleming has re”surf”aced on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii, working for HHawaii Media as Station Manager/General Sales Manager for the five HHawaii Kauai brands — Hawaiian Hits/Reggae Roots-formatted KITH-FM (Island Radio 98.9), KTOH (Rooster Country 99.9), Top 40 KJMQ (Jamz 98.1), Classic Hits Sunny 101.3 (KTOH-HD2), and Active Rock 107.9 The X (KTOH-HD3). He’s also doing mornings on Island Radio 98.9 using the air name “Shwah.”
The new gig is a homecoming for 25-year industry vet Fleming, most recently Regional Digital Sales Manager for Cumulus Reno, Eugene, Boise & Ventura, who went to high school in Pahoa, Hawaii, and has worked on-air and in sales management on the Big Island and in Honolulu, including a stint as National Sales Manager/afternoon talent at KQMQ/Honolulu; Nat’l Sales Manager for Visionary Related Entertainment in Honolulu; VP of Programming for Royce International Broadcasting; FM Operations Manager for Leighton Broadcasting in Grand Forks, ND; and Director of New Business Development for Powell Broadcasting in Panama City FL.
