Fletcher Named PD Of KVOO/Tulsa

• Griffin Communications’ Country 98.5 KVOO/Tulsa has filled its PD vacancy with a familiar local radio star — Dena Fletcher, who starts on Monday, July 29. KVOO has been without a permanent PD since Brian Jennings left in March.

In a staff memo, OM Steve Hunter shared the news of Fletcher’s hire, saying, “Dena brings to Griffin Communications 20+ years of experience in radio programming and on-air experience. Most recently she has had a very successful career [across the street] at Cox Media Group and is looking forward to furthering her career by joining our team. Dena has held positions as Program Director of KRAV (Mix96) and is currently assisting with programming on [Classic Rock KJSR] 103.3 The Eagle while also hosting afternoon drive.”

Fletcher programmed KRAV and KJSR from 2012-2014 and served as APD for KRAV, KJSR and the former KRTQ for several years before that.

Bonus Fun Fact: Hunter and Fletcher previously worked together for nearly 20 years at CMG Tulsa.
