Fountz Named PD of WOWI & The Beat/Norfolk

• iHeartMedia Norfolk has promoted cluster vet Michael “DJ Fountz” Fournier to PD of Urban WOWI (103 JAMZ) and Throwback WHBT (92.1 The Beat). He will also do middays on JAMZ. Fournier began his radio career as an intern at JAMZ over eighteen years ago and worked his way up to APD. He also helped launch 92.1 The Beat in 2015.

Fountz will report to Tias Schuster, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Norfolk, who said, “DJ Fountz is 103 JAMZ. He helped build the brand over the years and this just feels right. 103 JAMZ is one of our nation’s most legendary Hip-Hop stations and we’re confident that it will continue its market domination with Fountz leading the incredible team.”
