Boomer earlier spent seven years at the helm of iHeartMedia Top 40 WHQC (then Channel 96-1)/Charlotte. He also worked for iHeartMedia Top 40 KSLZ (Z107.7)/St. Louis for eight years, and programmed WRVQ (Q94)/Richmond. Earlier on-air stints include KHTS (Channel 933)/San Diego, WKBQ/St. Louis, WYHY/WRVW/Nashville and WZJZ/Ft. Myers, FL.
