Garfield Returns To Impact Radio Boise
• Last week we told you that JD Garfield had resigned as PD of Alpha Media Top 40 WDJX/Louisville for “a mystery gig TBA.” Well, that mystery has now been solved, and we are pleased to report that Garfield is returning to Impact Radio Group in beautiful Boise, ID, reclaiming his former PD post at Rhythmic KWYD (Wild 101), along with a bonus programming assignment: Active Rock KQBL-HD2 (99.1 I-Rock).
Garfield originally programmed Wild 101 until June 2017, when he accepted the PD post at WDJX. His previous programming stops include Mid-West Family Top 40 KOSP (92.9 The Beat) and Active Rock KQRA/Springfield, MO and he enjoyed a six-year stint as PD of sister WJQM (93.1 Jamz)/Madison, WI.
James Garner, Regional Operations Manager for Impact Radio Group commented, “On behalf of our CEO Darrell Calton, Market Manager Crystal Castorena and myself, we are excited to welcome JD back to Boise. He was a big part of building Wild 101 into the market leader it is today.” He added, “As our company and cluster continues to grow, we were looking for someone with a multi-format background, and our familiarity with JD made him a logical choice. He will also oversee the continued development of I-Rock 99.1 and has been great leader in our building.”
Fun Facts: Garfield, who grew up in Danville, IL is an unapologetic North Side Chicago sports fan. He enjoys photography, playing with his dogs, and spending as much time losing golf balls as rapidly as possible. He also has a sweet tooth for craft beers and fine bourbons.
